Freedom car rental makes up part of Freedom Services whose primary aim is to ensure that our customers are happy by providing a great service alongside competitive prices.

The rental cars we have to offer are well maintained through regular service, our support team is there to ensure your car hire is a pleasurable, easy experience. We have access to a full range of cars from small cars to 7-seaters, the cars can cater for families as baby/booster seats are available on request.

When you rent one a car through us you will be fully supported by our team with advice on activities, tourist hotspots as well as great restaurants and bars – just pop into our main office where a cold drink is waiting and our friendly staff will be happy to chat and advise.

FAQ Car Rental Terms North Cyprus

ID and Driving Licence

- Drivers must present a valid Passport and Driving Licence upon pick-up/delivery of the car.

- Drivers must have held a valid driving licence for a minimum of 3 years before the rental start date.

- A manual transmission driving licence is required unless an automatic vehicle has been specifically requested.

Age Requirements

- Minimum rental age: 25 years old

- Maximum rental age: 80 years old. A Senior Driver Fee of £7 per day applies for drivers aged 75-80, up to a maximum of £100 per rental.

Driver Restrictions

- Only the registered driver(s) are permitted to drive the car.

Additional Drivers

- No extra charge for the second driver.

- An Additional Driver Fee of £3 applies for the third driver.

- A maximum of 3 drivers are allowed per booking.

Rental Period

- The Rental Period starts and ends on the dates and times indicated on the Rental Agreement.

- The minimum rental period is 3 day (72 hours), with a return time before 10 am. Additional fees may apply for shorter rental periods.

- Early returns will end the rental period and the Agreement, but no refund will be given.

Extending the Rental Period

- To extend the rental period, contact Freedom Group via email or phone at least 48 hours before the rental expiry.

- Extensions are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed during busy periods.

Deposit

- No deposit is required at the time of booking confirmation.

Rates Include

- Unlimited mileage

- VAT Local Tax (5%)

- Road Tax

- Airport surcharge for bookings of 9 days or more

- Roadside assistance

- Out-of-hours service

- Second driver

Payment Policy

- Full payment is required upon delivery/pick-up.

- Accepted credit cards: VISA, MasterCard (AMEX not accepted). A 3% bank commission charge applies for card payments.

- Cash payments are accepted in GBP, Turkish Lira, Euros, and USD.

Fuel Policy

- Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as collected to avoid additional charges, or choose a prearranged fuel option at £25.

- For Ercan airport and long-distance deliveries, a mandatory Fuel Fee of £25 applies upon delivery.

- No refund will be given for any remaining fuel when the vehicle is returned.

Parking / Traffic Rules and Penalties

- Drivers must observe all Road Traffic Laws, Rules, and Regulations.

- Seat belts must be fastened by the driver and all passengers.
- The driver is responsible for any parking and traffic penalties incurred.

- Freedom Group will not accept any bills for repairs made by the Renter.
